As part of their WWII Historical Fiction Choice + Expert Project, the 7th graders are reading historical fiction and narrative non-fiction titles related to WWII.

There are a lot of reasons why I liked Into the Killing Seas by Michael P. Spradlin. One reason is because the way Michael describes what is happening is cool. When you read the book, it feels so intense. Every little description makes the book so good. I really like when they are in the ocean and the sharks come. Whenever it described how the explosion burned Benny, it really made it feel like I knew how he looked. The way the book ended is so good as Patrick and Teddy are reunited with his Mom.
